Project Description

At the Art Gallery of Hamilton in the heart of downtown Hamilton, Ontario, you'll find top-quality wayfinding signs and a donor wall that recognizes the Gallery's supporters.

With the main sign extending on a beam over King Street, the art gallery's high-rise project needed a lot of coordination to install.  Sunset Neon had to ensure that half of the one-way street was shut down, and then transport the signs, and attach the channel letters to the architectural-feature beam on the ground. Once it was ready, the beam was hoisted up 60 feet into the air and fastened to the roof of the gallery. Quite an achievement, but all in a day's work for Sunset Neon.

Other important features of this project were CNC cut-out letters for each of the interior galleries, a donor wall to recognize those who contributed to the building's financing, and a wayfinding system of custom-fabricated signs throughout the building.
